Dr. Seuss is hands down one of the most prolific children’s book authors and artists of our fantastical modern age. Green Eggs and Ham is one of my all time favorite Seuss books. I considered it a half sacrilegious and half honor to dissect an original publication of the wonderous Sam I Am book and turn the artwork and text into collaged utilitarian art and display pieces. Beery Method Studios created an entire line of Seuss Coffin Stash Boxes and while in production I decided to integrate the same method of collage onto aerosol vintage vinyl records.
The vinyl records are then mounted to hand made wooden cradle art boxes that have been painted with custom colors and effects. There are only four of the Dr. Seuss Art Boxes in existence. All are different and completely original. Each 10×10″ cradle retails for $200 plus shipping.
