I’m honored to be a part of Gauntlet Gallery SF latest group show exhibition titled Music Sounds Better With You. The exhibition will honor artist’s favorite music icons and be a diverse music-lover tribute show. I decided to coalesce my two favorite genres with a direct tie in for one of the music industry’s all time pop star legends and his most famed album release. At the top of the list is Michael Jackson’s Thriller. What better music genius icon to portray as one of his most prolific roles in music video history. Thriller is the epitome of my childhood and dignifies all popular culture via 1983. MJ was my idol and bad ass dancing living dead and ghouls fed my dark side. Not to mention the appearance of Vincent Price and the gruesome transformation of undead Michael to the full moon unleashed werecat left a wicked impression on my creative side for all time.

Thriller is a tribute to one of the most influential pop artists and pop cult music videos of all time. The legendary work of a master and the celebration of the world’s biggest selling album of all time. Forever will be missed the Prince of Pop. Opening reception at Gauntlet Gallery Friday October 18th, 7-10pm. Showing October 18th-November 9th.

“Darkness falls across the land. The midnight hour is close at hand.
Creatures crawl in search of blood. To terrorize y’awl’s neighborhood.
And whosoever shall be found. Without the soul for getting down,
Must stand and face the hounds of hell. And rot inside a corpse’s shell.
The foulest stench is in the air. The funk of forty thousand years.
And grizzly ghouls from every tomb. Are closing in to seal your doom.
And though you fight to stay alive. Your body starts to shiver.
For no mere mortal can resist. The evil of the THRILLER!”
