Since ink is a serious art form and there are so many different styles I simply had to tackle a couple of ink-inspired designs. There is something unique about creating patterns through symmetry. Simply shifting a shape or rotating a few lines can produce intricate mini-pieces of imagery within a larger image element. A face or an animal make take form in the linework of repeated shapes and patterns. One could spend an eternity twisting and bending the framework of design elements and forming new and fantastic patterns.

Chakra: What’s your totem? Mixture of Hindi, Native American wood block, and Japanese Ink styles. A concealed animal totem of the Eagle – Native American, Tiger – Hindi, and the form of Japanese fighter mask. I wanted to merge these varied culture’s ink styles to create a uniquely complimentary organically sleek design.

Rosetta: The Egyptians were simply a means for The Elder Ones to communicate and learn through human life and how intelligent civilizations may form. The puzzlement of life and where it all began could possibly be deciphered through this intricate design. Third eye isn’t blind.
