As chief curator and director of Coalesce Studios I’m more than proud to present an unrivaled exhibition of illustrations, paintings, and mixed media from an epic array of visual artists from various creative backgrounds. Gears & Goblins is a collection of artworks from a select group of the world’s most extraordinary visual artists who dabble in the magic of ink laden weaponry and inject a fury of apocalyptic mechanical sorcery into the portal of our creatively chimerical world. Based on the theme of steampunk vs. mythology/mythological creatures the diversely clever collective of artists explores retro-futuristic industrial sci-fi fitted atmospheres, anachronistic technologically enhanced monsters, magical beings, mythical beasts, and mysterious mash ups of legendary power and lore. From steam-powered dragons, hybrid gas-lamp guided unicorns, to heavy black metal wielding trolls and copper-plated sea serpents Gears & Goblins delves deep into the coal-fueled savagely mortal lores of man-made fiction and brings order to the strange organic chaos of cyber-infused gods.
