Dark Tranquility

The bulk of this series is an ode to my inner ‘dark’ child. Built upon the foundations of morbid curiosity as an adolescent and the retroactive imbibing of adult dissidents the imagery produced is part of the complex exploration of the deep temporal incubus that perpetually develops in the backdrop of mind and space. Transcending the playful forms nurtured by unfiltered imagination the collection as a whole combines inanimate objects that once ‘lived’ in the juvenile mental framework with the fermented decay of a being who seeks to find cause in self-progeny and wavering juvenescene. Mingling the artifacts of youth with idiosyncratic ghosts that haunt a ‘mature’ intuition is a means of fine tuning recollection with the declining nostalgia that is the essence of today’s mature material being.
